Peppard Revels Film Club

The Peppard Revels are a group of fun-loving residents of Rotherfield Peppard that for many years have organised village events, traditionally on the various pieces of beautiful common land in and around the village that we all have come to call our home.

This year, for various reasons, we are trialling a new format – A Mid-Summer’s Evening, on Saturday 20th June from 6pm until 11pm. The next day, Sunday 21st June, we will be holding a village church service in the same marquee, all denominations welcome – this starts at 10.30am.

We hope this format will enable us to organise an annual village event. This year, the evening is located on the ‘Red Lion back field’, by kind permission of the pub. The venue is accessed by the tennis club path and serves to offer us a secure and defined area to enjoy an evening of fun and frolics – food, a bar, a disco – all with tented protection from the elements along with ample tables and chairs, and a lot of neighbourly fun!

We have engaged with Machin’s butchers and Wild Frog bakers to offer a superior BBQ burger (as is befitting the cliental!), and even some hot dogs and a vegetarian alternative, plus our friends at Loose Cannon Brewery will be providing a bar with a range of reasonably priced beers and wines to allow us to dance the night away. All surplus funds will go back into future events and whilst we are ever mindful of making the evening affordable, we have worked very hard to ensure that quality and value is maintained.

Tickets must be pre-purchased using the link below. The are priced at £30 per head, to include a burger (or vegetarian alternative), a choice of a glass of wine or pint of beer and a seat at a table. Tables are for six and eight people and those wanting to host a table can let us know your group members by email after tickets have been paid – you may wish to decorate your table for the evening!. The bar will take card payments only and further food will be able to be purchased likewise – we are planning a soft drink bar that will also take small denominations of cash.

You will receive an email confirming your tickets and this will be exchanged for wrist bands on the night, along with vouchers for your complementary drink and burger.

We ask that guests refrain from bringing their own food and drink – and rather support the ‘official’ bar and food – but we are happy if you want to bring a few extra nibbles for your table – we will be supplying some nibbles to get you started!
